THE WESTING BUILDING FEATURES 4 DISTINCT COOLING TOWERS that are strategically interconnected to create an N+1 cooling tower system that allows for maintenance bypass during servicing as well as emergency failover should one of the towers go off-line. The cooling towers serve a building-wide condenser water supply system that delivers condenser water directly to the datacenter HVAC equipment. In addition the Building Management has installed a cooling tower water reserve system to supply make water in the unlikely event of a loss of city water. Our extensive, standby electrical generation system provides users with automatic power transfer from Seattle City Light power utility to Westin Building maintained generator power in the unlikely event of a loss of city power.
